I have now had the pleasure of dining here about a dozen times. It is near my home...but the reason I keep coming back is the very best real cheeseburger in Richmond. I know they have other good stuff on the menu...but so far all I have had is the burger with cheddar and sweet potato fries, crispy. Killer. Consistent...every time. But I also like the place because the people who work there are genuinely friendly and professional.

The backyard grill has an amazing staff and even better food! I highly recommend you get the brisket nachos! It’s such an amazing atmosphere and it’s great for any occasion, so if you get the chance then I’d extremely recommend this place! Also, great drinks!

This place never fails. It fills my hungry guy and has a great selection on the menu. It's a great restaurant with splendid food every time we have been. The service is quick and polite. There are no gimmicks or themes, simply a standalone restaurant where every piece falls right into place.

Was finally able to go here, after hearing about it for so long from so many friends. Had the Katz sandwich and shared a full rack of ribs with my friend. Delicious! Thoroughly pleased and impressed! Sat at the bar, got excellent, attentive service and plenty for the money.

The food is awesome, for those who have complained on price are clearly used to fast food crap... The food is fresh and piled high and always comes out quick. The staff makes you feel like family every time. Our favorite lunch spot!!

I don’t understand the bad reviews on here for the Backyard Grill. We went this evening and the service and food was great! Had heard about this place on the radio and we decided to drive the 15 miles across the city to try it. The waiter and kitchen staff was very fast and friendly and very attentive. My fiancé even said the waiter was very cute...the food came quick and was delicious, we would do the drive to go again sometime. Try it!

We recently hosted a party and had the food catered by The Backyard Grill. In short, the food was awesome, the service was spot on and John Harper hit another home run with this one. Six pounds of brisket disappeared in less than ten minutes. Some of our guests had three helpings. Kudos to the restraunt and staff for making our event a memorable moment.
